My Portfolio
I am an accomplished professional with over 10 years experience in all aspects of design, including:
* Publication design: I have put together books as large as 600 pages using Adobe InDesign.
* Print design: brochures, newsletters, identity systems, promotional items, self-mailers using the Adobe Creative Suite
* Web design: marketing sites, user interfaces, information architecture, landing pages, HTML emails, content management systems, web 2.0 using Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver
* Traditional art skills: pen/ink, oils, acrylics, watercolor, pencil, linoleum block cuts
* Writing/editing: I’m a published author on topics such as HTML, CSS, Web Design and Photoshop, and have copy edited several other books as well.
* Project management: I have led teams of professionals while working full-time for employers, and have also run a successful freelance business for many years, requiring me to act as account manager, art director, project manager and designer all at once.
In recent years, I’ve also added interiors to my arsenal. I love to take my knowledge of color, style, layout, and scale to the three-dimensional world of living spaces. After so many years of working only in 2D, I feel as if I have a million 3D ideas in my head… making interior design my most recent passion. My husband and I have found much success in renovating old (or “antique”) homes, and now that my skills are being requested by family and friends… who knows where this will take me!
