My Books

In 2000, I fulfilled a dream by having my first book published. Osborne/McGraw-Hill published HTML: A Beginner’s Guide in November of that year, as the foundation level HTML book in their Beginner’s Guide series. In 2009, I updated this book (fourth revision). The series includes many other topics, such as JavaScript, ASP, CGI and XML, as well as my second book, Web Design: A Beginner’s Guide (published in June of 2001 and currently being revised in 2009).

NEED COMPANION FILES?
Each book in the Beginner’s Guide series contains real-world project files. Access those files here: HTML Book Files or Web Design Book Files.

My third book, Photoshop 7: Tips and Techniques, was published in July of 2003. This book is a great place to start for beginning to intermediate Photoshop users who want to learn quick commonly used tips for effective and efficient design with Photoshop 7.

My fourth book, Mac OS X in 10 Steps of Less, was a collaboration with several other authors. Because I’m a huge Mac ennthusiast, this was a fun book to write. It was also my first chance to work with another publisher–Wiley.

Instructor Manuals

I’ve also written training manuals to assist teachers who use these books in their classrooms. The Instructor’s Guides are freely distributed by Osborne/McGraw-Hill. The Web Design Instructor’s Guide also comes with a 330-question exam and a set of PowerPoint slides. Devotionals

While on vacation with my family in the spring of 2006, I received word that several of my devotionals were being printed in the 2007 edition of Daily Guideposts. Having read these devotional collections for almost 20 years, it’s an honor to have my work included in the next edition.
