Hire Me!

Well, I’m officially job hunting. My situation has changed somewhat in the past two weeks so that I now have the opportunity to work on-site part time. Very exciting! So if you know of any positions opening up – contract or full-time w/work from home part-time – please let me know. While I’m thinking about it… my ideal job has the following characteristics: option to telecommute, flexible hours, agency setting (i.e., I’m not designing hot dog packaging all day, every day), family-friendly, and variety of work (web, print, etc.). Also, I’m looking for a company dedicated to high-quality, usable and functional design. Happy job-hunting!

Time to bump the t-shirt post down…

So obviously we didn’t send Indy packing, or rather, we sent them packing for their next play-off game. Oh well, there’s always next year :-) In other news, this is 2007! This is the year my youngest starts kindergarten (end of August)… which means I will have both my kids in school full time! I’ve heard other parents refer to this as the holy grail of parenthood, but we’ll see. On one hand, I’m really excited to be able to venture back into the design world full time, but on the other hand, I think I will miss my middle-of-the-day-shopping-for-no-reason excursions. Or maybe I’ll just have to get a job that lets me continue those trips? :-) Maybe I’ll freelance full time? I don’t know. I’m seeing a lot of possibilities as I peruse job sites like craigslist and commarts. In fact, I’ve seen a couple of jobs I’m actually really interested it, but alas, I must wait until both children are firmly on the school bus before venturing there. In the meantime, I continue my part-time freelancing and part-time Barbie playing. ;-) I wouldn’t trade the last 7 years for anything…

Send Indy Packing!

I know this does not really fit the theme of my site… but oh well! I’ve created some tshirts for this weekend’s playoff game between the Colts and the Ravens. I remember the day 20 some years ago when the Colts packed up and left in the middle of the night. I remember my dad yelling at the TV the next morning… So, this weekend’s playoff game is going to be really exciting! Here’s a link to the shirt I created: Send Indy Packing T-shirt. If you want to see the design more closely, use this link instead.

My brother-in-law and I are selling them through word-of-mouth and also at the Pep Rally Friday in Bel Air (12pm – 2pm). $20/each or two for $30. Sizes: mostly L and XL with a few M. Call 410-776-2407 or 410-937-4620. Go Ravens!
